I'm a GIRL !

The time has finally come for Georgia to wear a clip in her hair ! Poor thing... even though she usually has on pink or purple... we often STILL get " what's HIS name? Are you kidding me? I guess the hair really throws people off ?     Even though I am not a huge fan of the BOW IN THE HAIR-  I went ahead and broke down and got some small sweet clips for her hair so she can look like a GIRL !  Hopefully she will have more hair than me by age 2 -- my mom had to tape bows to my head!  Ha Ha !

Ooodles of Noodles

Georgia  is in LOVE with table food so we tried some elbow macaroni with meat sauce this past weekend and she was so happy!  She had both fists full of macaroni and was shoveling it in ! I captured some really cute moments of her "saucy" face - what a CUTIE !

9 Month Check up

Today was Georgia's 9 month well check and things are looking great!
WEIGHT: 17 LBS
HEIGHT: 27 3/4 in
As you can see ... she is quite the petite one !   Dr Huss weighed her 2 times just to make sure he had it right -- she only gained a pound since her 6mo check up - ha!  She has been really funny with eating the last few weeks but now that the table food is in full swing I am sure she will pack on a few more pounds. Georgia also had to have her toe pricked for a blood test AND she got the rest of her flu vaccine. She did great... and for being so brave we met some friends at Chick-fil-A  for lunch and she tried her first bite of chicken !

Bye Bye BABY FOOD !

The past few weeks Georgia has made an interesting transition ... she REFUSES to eat any baby food and makes an awful face when the spoon comes near her lips ... ha ha !  We have had quite a challenge getting her to eat ANYTHING but I think she has finally realized that OUR FOOD is much tastier that bland pureed food !  So, we have gone to the store and stocked up on healthy finger foods and she LOVES it ! Her new menu consists of cheese toast, steamed broccoli, vegan hot dogs ( I know.. gross right!??) , yogurt, cheerios, peas , pineapple .... and the list goes on!  She is also very proud of her new found" pincer grasp" and want to FEED HERSELF at all times .  We are so proud of our growing girl and thankful that we can pretty much feed her off of our plate - what a TIME SAVER !

Weekend in Ringgold !

We headed out to visit Sammy's family on friday in Ringgold, GA  ( aka - out in the sticks!) We had a wonderful weekend filled with lots of festivities! We kicked off Halloween night with a good 'ol fashioned weenie roast and then it was off to gather some candy ! Saturday was Oraya's 6th birthday  at the Discovery Museum and we got to see lots of super cool things and Georgia got to make a birthday hat! It will be so fun for Georgia to visit her cousins in the years to come because they are ALL Girls ( so far ....) and they are all very close in age.  Here are some fun moments that we captured ...

Good 'ol weenie roast !
