Happy birthday Georgia Love !

Ok- so this post is LONG overdue ... but I am having a hard time lately finding a spare moment to blog these days! Two little tinys keep me on my toes! Georgia turned 3 on Feb 2nd and we celebrated at MONKEY JOES - her most favorite place to play! Monkey Joes is an inflatable jungle town with non stop running and jumping ! We invited all of our sweet friends and played until we were worn out ! I can't believe she is 3 ... seems like yesterday I was holding her in my arms for the first time. She is such a sweet soul.
OUR DEAREST GEORGIA ,
you are the light of our life ! You have such a sweet and gentle spirit and are always looking out for others . You are great at sharing. You are quick to repent and quick to forgive. You love worship and already have a gift for music and rythem. You tell me and daddy everyday that we are your best friends. ( so cute!!) , your favorite things to play with are little tiny figurines and you are really good at the game "memory". You are super petite ... just a tiny girl with a BIG HEART. The name Georgia LOVE certainly fits you. God has so much planned for your life - we can't wait to watch it unfold. We pray for you every night that people would be drawn to the Lord because of your LOVE for them and for Jesus. Happy Birthday sweetie.
Love, Mom and Dad

A week of HOORAY !
This has been a week of Hooray and yippie as we have cheered our two sweet girls on ! Georgia and I spent 4 days in the house last week on "lock down" to get her completely potty trained. Day 1 was challenging... but by day 2 she was feeling pretty cool in her minnie mouse panties and was ready to take on the task! HAPPY to say, she has done #1 and #2 with no accidents in 5 days. We are so proud of her ! Our little chubbs also had a victory this week - LOTS OF ROLLING! Violet is on the move and you can't take your eyes off of her for too long. She is rolling from front to back and back to front and jibber- jabbering all the way !!

Georgia like to place STICKERS for her Victory !

Violet giggles !!!
Violet will be 5 months old next week, and that is pretty hard to believe ! We knew when we gave her the middle name JOY that the Lord would allow her to bring so much JOY into our lives . We caught this little giggle tonight and thought we would share with you !

fat rolls, sucking fingers and rice cereal !
Violet has just been growing by the day !! She is getting so big ( as you can see by the ROLLS on her body) and just beaming with JOY! She is the happiest and sweetest thing. She had her 4 month check up this week- weighing in at 16 pounds ! She is already wearing 6-9 month clothes!!! Dr Huss wanted us to go ahead and introduce rice cereal at least one time a day for iron and vitamin D since breast milk is deficient in that - and VIOLET LOVES IT ... she just licks those lips! haha! She can also roll from tummy to back ... and holds her head up really well too. Time is flying... and I just want to hold on to every second. I can't believe Georgia is about to be 3 !!?? I am lovin' on these babies and cherishing every CRAZY part of the day... they just won't be little forever. Ok - here are a few sweet pics.. and back I go to folding laundry while they are both asleep!!

Looks like someone sucks their fingers like Sister!!!??

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !!

Wow, December flew by and I can't believe it's 2011 !! We had a wonderful Christmas with family in Ringgold, GA - this was the first year that Georgia really understood Christmas ( well... sort of !? haha!) She understood presents for sure but not the real meaning of Christmas! I look forward to the time when she can really listen and understand that Christ was born to die ... for HER! The Christmas season is always so packed with things to do and places to go... it seemed to move way to fast ! Another awesome part of December was ALL THE SNOW we got here in Nashville... a few times during the month it was snow and ice AND then a WHITE CHRISTMAS! ( we also had a white Christmas in Georgia so we were really excited!) Here are some pics from festivals, snow days and Christmas . We are so grateful for the birth of Violet Joy in 2010 and we are ready to see all the GOOD THINGS God has planned for us in 2011! Bring it on !!

Tis the Season

Tis the Season :: Christmas is upon us !!! This year we decided ( against all I have ever done ) to get an artificial tree . Every year we head to the tree lot but I have always LOVED the white "flocked" trees and have been saving for a pretty one for the last few years. Well, we took the plunge and got a beautiful white tree( and it was super easy with no sticky branches- haha! ) It is such a snowy beauty in my window and Georgia loved putting up the ornaments this year.
We also went to the annual Franklin Santa Parade - one of Georgia's favorite things these days is "the band " so she was excited to see the drums. She is asking for a xylophone for Christmas and a bongo drum set !! Needless to say , the parade made her day!!! Happy shopping and most importantly, let's fix our eyes on JESUS this Christmas!!

Giving Thanks

This year has been FULL of blessings... wow, I am so thankful to the Lord for HIS goodness to us. We headed to Raleigh, NC for Thanksgiving with "the fam" and enjoyed some much needed REST and good eats!! This was Georgia's 3rd time on the airplane and Violet's first - they did amazing and were awesome holiday travelers! I love my mom - she has the biggest heart and she served us well all week - cooking and hosting is a big job for 12 people!!
Lord Jesus, thank you for so richly pouring out your blessings this year and doing MORE than we could ask or imagine. You truly are the giver of Good things. Thank you for sending your son to die on the cross so we could have freedom in you. We are so very THANKFUL ! - Amen
We are so thankful for Violet Joy :: born Sept. 16, 2010

Georgia Love

This is my sweet Georgia ...I can't believe that I am looking at this pictures of her and I am amazed at where the time has gone. I wanted to do a special post about her because she is the "big sister" now which means she gets to be my big helper a lot .... but these last few months have been an adjustment for her ! There are many times a day that mommy only has one set of hands and can't do all things I used to do ( just with her ) ... but she is so patient and sweet. She adores her little sister and has nick- named her "chubby cheeks" !! Georgia will be 3 in February and will start a mother's day out program 2 days a week ! Sammy and I both think she will LOVE this and have a chance to meet new friends and learn a ton !
Here are a few things that our little Georgia is doing these days :
* she loves animals and think she can kiss all dogs ! ( we need to work on that! ) haha!
* she loves worship music and sings constantly! She says she wants to be a girl drummer!
* she is a fashionista ( already telling me what SHE wants to wear!
* She adores her dad .
* She loves to watch me cook
* She loves doughnuts! ( this is our bribe for anything!) haha!
* She is still not using the potty but we are making strides... :(
* she has the most adorable crooked grin
* and... she is a GREAT big sister!!
WE LOVE YOU GEORGIA !!

Happy Halloween !
This fall has just flown by - can't believe we are already approaching Thanksgiving! We had such a FUN October and it started off with the annual downtown Franklin Pumpkinfest! Sammy's sister and her family came down for the event so that was a fun treat - the girls loved playing together and eating kettle corn ! Then, on Halloween we headed out to our church for TRUNK OR TREAT which is always a blast! Live blue grass music, tailgating and eating with friends, activities for the kids and of course going car to car for large amounts of candy! ( Georgia does not like chocolate so lucky me ! hahah! ) I love this time of year so much... and I am kind of sad when it's over . The leaves reached their peak here about a week ago so the trees are starting to look bare and winter is upon us and so are the HOLIDAYS! Looking forward to more family time and new pictures to share! ( Violet is not in too many of these pics because she was bundled up in a car seat and that was not the best photo op - hahah! )

All our friends met at Heather's house to walk to the festival - what is more festive than a hot cider stand right??
