Baby Ward # 2 ... on the way !

We are officially headed into the 2nd trimester with baby #2 and we are very excited and blessed! We went for our 12 week ultrasound last week and just watched in amazement at the tiny little life growing inside me. Pretty crazy how at 8 weeks the baby looked like a small "blip" on the screen and then at 12 weeks ( just 4 weeks later) it looks like a BABY! We did not find out the sex with Georgia, but I think we will find out this time - we just can't stand it! GOD is so amazing and so good .... and we know that children are a GIFT from HIM!

Happy Birthday Georgia Love

Happy Birthday to our sweet Georgia Love! I feel like it was only yesterday when I held her for the first time... and thought " oh my goodness.... what is my life going to look like now" ?!!? Life certainly looks different, but it certainly is BETTER than ever. When we named her Georgia Love and dedicated her at church , we knew that she would be a lover of people and a lover of Christ. We prayed that her love for others would attract people to the Lord ... and we are already seeing that sweet gentle spirit and a heart for worship. Her favorite song to sing is "Jesus loves me" .... and every now and then I will walk past her room as she is playing and she will be singing that song - priceless. We had a birthday party planned for her last weekend but the winter weather ruined our plans ... so we will have the party this weekend and post pictures from that as well. Here are a few from her actual birthday at home DIVING into her cake!! A true girl loves her sweets!!
Some fun things that Georgia loves these days are : playing dress up , dancing and singing , she loves Jack's Big Music show and Yo Gabba Gabba, and she loves macaroni and popcorn ( from target!!) ha! She is altogether LOVELY!
oh yea... check out her outfit in the last photo- jammies with a snow hat, dress up earrings and high heels!! ha ha!!

School of Worship

Our dear friends Nate and Sarah Sallie have started a business that is blessing SO MANY families and giving them a chance to learn and study music, dance, and voice in a faith- based environment. Georgia has been taking a toddlers music class for a few weeks and she just LOVES it! I hope this is only the beginning of her heart for worship and that she will take classes here for years to come! Check out the website- http://schoolofworshiponline.net
Here is Georgia rockin' it out!

Snow beauty

We had the coldest week in a LONG time ... most mornings were in the teens last week and we had about 3 days of light to moderate snow! SO Pretty! For those of you who really KNOW me, know that I am a huge winter lover and I love to be cozy! Georgia and I went out and played in the snow a few times and she loved stomping around in her boots and catching snow flakes on her tongue. Then, we would come in and sit by the fire and be COZY again! It was so great... just wish it would stick around a little longer.... Here are some pics of my little snow beauty !

Christmas 2009

This picture of Georgia pretty much sums up Christmas ... Joyful, sweet, warm, and lots of laughter! We spent Christmas with my side of the family in Raleigh, NC! We had a wonderful week of shopping, eating, card playing and made some wonderful memories! I took several photos during all the festivities and .... well.... we all looked pretty rough so I thought I would spare you from the Christmas morning "bad hair " !! ha ha! I think my family might thank me for that one! I love my family- I am one blessed girl !! thanks mom for hosting all of us and cooking all week- what a treat! I guess it's back to reality in January.

December !

Wow... December came and went super fast ! The month started off with my dearest friend getting married on Dec. 5th . Amy and I met when I transfered to UNC in 1999 and we were instant friends ! She is a sister to me and has a beautiful soul .... we moved to Nashville together after graduation and started " grown up life" together. We lived in a great apartment and worked our first jobs, traveled lots, and were involved in young life leadership. But... when Sammy and I got married in 2003, she moved back to NC to help take care of her mom living with liver disease. She is a true servant and a treasured friend - we had so much FUN in Asheville - my parents stayed with us in a cottage for the wedding weekend to keep Georgia so we could play! Here are some weekend pics !

this is what happens when grandparents have breakfast duty ...

Georgia apparently hates to wear gloves!?
Getting to use my skills I learned while working with MAC to make Amy beautiful on her big day!
Jasmine ( another roomate) and her husband Mitch

Onto another part of December...
The following weekend was Dec. 12th and it was the annual Franklin Dickens Festival ! We headed down to the town square for a little cider, kettle corn , sugar plums and Mr Scrooge! The streets are filled with Dickens characters, food, horse drawn carriages and more! we had a blast!!

Then... the next week, on Dec. 14th .... Sammy and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary! We went to our favorite place ( a small quaint Italian restaurant in downtown Nashville - Sole Mio.) We sat at our usual requested table next to the fireplace and loved every second of talking , eating slow ( not having to entertain a toddler and barely get food in - ha ha!), sipping coffee and then headed to Opryland to see the Christmas lights. We made some great memories...
Mmm.... fireplace and dark roast coffee- best night!

and the last part of December ... was of course... CHRISTMAS! New post to follow!
